Rowling and providing an opportunity for enthusiastic fans from across Philadelphia and beyond to celebrate the world of Harry Potter. The Festival is organized by the Chestnut Hill Business Association, a not-for-profit organization supporting the Chestnut Hill Business Community. Warner Bros. Entertainment and J.K. Rowling are not responsible for the festival in any way. The Festival is a family-friendly event and is open for fans of all ages to celebrate and have fun together. Outside alcohol, fireworks, weapons and other items that do not fit the spirit of the Festival are prohibited. Hogwarts Basics Times: The official Festival will run 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., but Chestnut Hill shops and restaurants open as early as 10 a.m. Visitors are encouraged to stay for dinner to wait out the crowds at one of the many restaurants along Germantown Avenue. Pets are permitted but large crowds are expected and may make it difficult for the furry Potter fans among us to walk safely within the festival footprint. Pets are not allowed inside restaurants and some shops. Germantown Avenue is cobblestone, which can be difficult to navigate with wheelchairs and strollers. However, the sidewalks along the street are paved and easily accessible. Public restrooms will be located throughout the festival footprint, including ADA compliant facilities in various locations highlighted on the official festival map.
