– Introducing Italia 9.98 Club
If you look at her, you suddenly realize that something has changed. The double wheel
steering system replaces the typical racing tiller. A sleek, aggressive bowsprit extends the
bow, the teak in cockpit softens the design. It is Italia 9.98 Club, a slightly modified version
of Italia 9.98 Fuoriserie, the boat that has dominated the last two racing seasons under the
ORC system.
Following the great success of Italia 9.98 Fuoriserie, Italia Yachts has reinterpreted
the original project, bringing some action to make navigation comfortable, even when
cruising. The result is a fast and fun boat, suited to excel in club races or other
competitions, but also perfect for cruising.
The addition of a large bowsprit facilitate the use of gennakers and other furling sails to
advantage downwind sailing without the need of a spinnaker pole.
Inside, a full set of cabinets has been added both the in the saloon and in the bow cabin,
increasing stowage space. The standard equipment incorporates also the refrigerator and
a 2 burner stove with oven. Moreover, it is possible to enhance Italia 9.98 Club choosing
between a large optional list, including also teak on cockpit and benches.
La guardi e capisci che qualcosa è cambiato. La timoneria a doppia ruota sostituisce la tipica
barra da regata. Una delfiniera aggressiva e slanciata ne prolunga la prua. Il teak in pozzetto
ne ingentilisce il design. È Italia 9.98 Club, una versione leggermente modificata di Italia
9.98 fuoriserie, la barca che ha dominato le ultime due stagioni ORC a livello internazionale.
Seguendo il grande successo di Italia 9.98 Fuoriserie, Italia Yachts ha reinterpretato
il progetto originale, apportando alcuni interventi volti a rendere la navigazione più
confortevole. Ne risulta una barca veloce e divertente, adatta a primeggiare in regate
di circolo o in impegnative competizioni a compenso, ma perfetta anche per l’utilizzo in
crociera.
Le principali modifiche riguardano l’adozione della timoneria a doppia ruota e l’aggiunta di
una grande delfiniera a prua, per agevolare l’utilizzo di gennaker e di altre vele avvolgibili
senza l’utilizzo di un tangone, a vantaggio della facilità di conduzione alle andature portanti.
All’interno, una completa dotazione di pensili a murata arredano sia la dinette che la zona
di prua, aumentando lo spazio per lo stivaggio. Vengono inoltre forniti di serie un frigorifero
e una cucina con forno. Infine, è possibile impreziosire Italia 9.98 Club scegliendo come
optional il teak per le panche (removibili) e il piano del pozzetto.
