Dear Mrs. Simmons:
My project topic is Dance. The reason why I chose dance is that it is my passion. Dance is a way to
express yourself when you’re unable to use words. You’re able to connect with people and find common
ground with dancing. I feel that dancing is powerful, art, passionate, and beautiful.
It will also help me to learn more about different types of dance I know about the popular styles
in America being Jazz, Contemporary, Ballroom types, and Hip Hop. I want to know more about the
different types of dancing that I have not even heard of before. Then I will be able to take parts of the
dance and incorporate it with me. This project will also help me with my video editing skills.
Learning about this and teaching others about dance. Has given me a chance to share some passion with
someone else, allowing people to know that dance can be a way to express oneself. This project will
show that dance has always been meant for really only the person that is moving and to not worry about
the others that are looking. This project will give someone the confidence to be okay with being
uncomfortable and dance anyway because they enjoy it.
I will not lie, cheat or steal no tolerate anyone that does so. I will not be a plagiarist nor accept anyone
that does so. Plagiarism is when you copy someone else’s work that they took time and effort to do and
not give them credit for it. I will not steal that away from anyone. I will avoid plagiarizing or falsifying
any information.
