GETTING AROUND IN MADRID
METRO MADRID
The metro is perhaps the most convenient way to get around the city. IE is located near
Gregorio Marañon metro station, in the center of Madrid, making it extremely easy for
you to explore the city. A single metro ticket costs 1.5€, but you can buy a metrobus
ticket valid for 10 journeys on either bus or metro for 12.20€. Find out more about

The Salamanca district is renowned for high-quality shopping on “calles” Serrano,
Velázquez and everything in between (Ayala and Hermosilla in particular). Calle Goya is a
stretch of some of the more popular fashion shops, including Spanish favorites Zara and
bring your passport. With the “Tax Free” forms you would be able to get back at the
airport the sales tax from all purchases made in Spain. Also remember that you will also
need formal identification to pay for anything with a credit card in Spain.
