Fill an explore tin with activities for your family. Go and explore, then come back
and make some art of your own with help from our artists and volunteers. We aim
to cater for children and young people of all ages so there’s something for everyone.

The range of activities changes regularly so you can enjoy regular family
or group visits to the Bluecoat.

A series of fun family activities to do while you explore the gallery, the garden
and the rest of this historic building. Learn along the way with creative experiments
and find new ways of enjoying art together.
Your ”selection box” will contain activities hand picked by our participation staff,
with something for everyone.
