Manager`s Report Carefree Country Club

Manager's Report Carefree Country Club - Annual Meeting
Saturday, March 19, 2016
1. Our new water tank was delivered this past Tuesday, some residents
experienced low water pressure due to the filling of the new tank.
2. We have completed our fertilization and weed control this past week.
The mixture contained 57% atrazine which is the broad leaf weed control
that will attack pennywort (dollar weed).
3. The toilets in men's rest room in the lower club house have been
replaced. There are now two ADA toilets (17inches, floor to bowl lip) in this
location. What we found out is that the minerals in the water over the past
30 plus years caused the original 4 inch opening to close to a 1.5/2 inch
opening.
4. Being good stewards of our environment, we are now testing our lake
water for contaminants. The first test was this week.
5. Tomorrow, March 20th, we will be having a Marketing Open House from
12 noon to 4 p.m.
6. Please do not forget to tell the office who will be looking after your yard
while you are away.
7. Before leaving, please remember to put away anything that a strong wind
would pick up and blow into someone or someone's home.
8. We now have the results of our annual CCR water report. We have copies
on the table by the stairs. It is also posted on our web site and on our five
bulletin boards.

9. We are now taking orders to have your personal palm trees cut in
September. The cost will be $20.00 per palm tree. If you want your palm
tree cut please come to or call the office to be put onto the list. Please tell
us where the tree is located i.e. front back or side. Of course, we will still be
cutting the park palms (Queen and Sabal/Cabbage Palms) in front of your
home.
10. The next quarter gate code is #1811. The Battle of Tippecanoe was
fought November 7, 1811, near by the present day Lafayette, Indiana. This
battle was fought against the Shawnee Chief Tecumseh. Governor William
Henry Harrison lead the United States forces. William Henry Harrison went
on to become our ninth president. He served only one year as he was the
first president to die in office. He was nicknamed Tippecanoe and hence the
popular song of the time "Tippecanoe and Tyler too". John Tyler was
President Harrison Vice President and became our 10th president on the
passing of President Harrison.
