Part1: American Enterprise Day is observed on November 15 each year. On this day, U.S. residents recognize free enterprise and how it has contributed to the economy. Jimmy Carter made a Presidential Proclamation on August 8, 1980 directing that American Enterprise Day be observed. To celebrate American Enterprise Day, we are going to research the American economy and create a print ad that promotes the American Enterprise System. First research the American economy by answering the questions below. 1. Why type of economy do we have in the United States? 2. What is a mixed market economy? Mixed economy An economic system that features characteristics of both capitalism and socialism. 3. What is the law of supply and demand? an increase in supply will lower prices if not accompanied by increased demand, and an increase in demand will raise prices unless accompanied by increased supply 4. What is capitalism? An economic and political system in which a country's trade and industry are controlled by private owners for profit, rather than by the state. 5.
