Leadership Team Minutes of April 27, 2017
Present: Jan Williams, Jan Ward, Marv & Sara Loutsenhizer, Bob & Marty
Kaylor, Dave & Evelyn Bickel, Judy Steckly, Lori Linn, Terri Woods, Marilyn
Drudge, and Carolyn Egolf. Sara opened the meeting with devotions.
Dr. Paul and Dr. Cheryl Thomas will begin their interim term May 1. Term is
for a minimum of six months.
June 25-Consecration of Leadership Team and Annual Conference
delegate.
Christian Education: Judy Steckly
Heather is arranging speakers for Summer Forum. Forum begins June 4.
VBS with First Christian is July 23-27, 5:00-8:30 p.m.
Brochures, including registration forms, will be distributed in
neighborhood July 1-8 according to already established walking routes.
Lori will arrange for printing of 1200 brochures.
This Week at Lincolnshire
Monday, May 8
9:30 a.m. Women’s Bible Study
Timbercrest Visit – carpool at 8:15 at church
Thursday, May 11
9:30 a.m. Calling & Discernment
1:00 p.m. Outreach & Caring
July 9---Kick-off VBS event at Lincolnshire. Several from Lincolnshire have
agreed to help with VBS.
July 30—Closing celebration at Lincolnshire.
Property Management: Marv Loutsenhizer
1. Mowing Team - Howard Pletcher, Stan Gorom & Terri Woods.
2. Tom Tiernon will clean sanctuary windows.
3. John Kolb, Stan Gorom, Howard Pletcher, and Marv
Loutsenhizer have done outdoor work.
4. Air Conditioner has been checked.
5. Office has been prepared for Thomases.
6. AC & furnace in parsonage were repaired.
Outreach & Caring: Jan Ward
1. Love Feast went well.
2. May 7—Carry-In
3. Kitchen Clean-Up is May 16 at 9:30 A.M.
4. Tables for Fellowship Hall: Pricing & choices are being considered.
10 new round tables are needed + two long ones. Once new ones
are purchased, Marv will check on selling/disposal of the used
tables.
5. Sara L. & Jan Williams are working on new church directory.
6. It was suggested the church buy a membership to Sam’s Club or
Costco.
Office: Sara Loutsenhizer
1. Importance of minutes of meetings was stressed. Submit same
to Church Office.
2. New phone system is being considered.
3. New router was recently installed at no cost.
Stewardship: Bob Kaylor
1. 2017 pledges are coming in as submitted. Plans are in process
for Fall Stewardship emphasis.
Treasurer’s Report: Marilyn Drudge
1. Despite reduced giving in March, balance is still positive. Social
Action Fund is replenished.
2. Stewards will check on negative balance for adult class books
and policy regarding food and gas vouchers.
Ordinances: Bob Kaylor announced Communion will be June 25.
Worship & Music: Terri Woods
1. Speaker for April 30 is Nashon Azaki.
2. Plans are being made regarding flowers for Mother’s Day.
CDC: Marty Kaylor
1. Since Property Management is a team, it was determined that
Marv Loutsenhizer would vote representing the team at
Leadership Team meetings.
2. Our District Liaison is Dr. Paul Thomas.
Torin Eikler will be here May 7 for anointing and consecration of Dr. Paul
and Dr. Cheryl Thomas as interim pastors.
Jan Ward closed the meeting with “Bless This Journey.”

This is to express our sincere appreciation for
the opportunity you gave us to share in
fellowship with your warm congregation. You
have a loving assembly and we enjoyed
our time there. Carolyn is an excellent Bible
teacher and we were enriched at the Sunday
school class with her combined knowledge of the Word and wisdom of a
graceful age. Thank you also for the gift and I do hope we met your
expectations. Do tolerate any shortcoming please.
It was also a privilege for us to get to know more people and make new
friends and we shall be visiting from time to time to have fellowship again
and to hear Carolyn teach Bible. I pray the good Lord to continue to
enlarge your coast.
