ABOUT
THREAD
BOBBIN THREAD
InvisaFil™ is a very fine thread that can be
used in the needle and as a premium bobbin
thread for embroidery. You can also use it for
hand and machine appliqué, stitch in the
ditch, free motion quilting, stippling, general
sewing on fine fabrics, hemming etc.
100wt - 2ply cottonized
polyester. An ultra fine
polyester with cotton-like
characteristics and negligible
stretch.

APPLICATIONS
Use
InvisaFil™
in
sewing
machines,
embroidery machines, quilting machines, and
handwork.
SPOOL POSITION:
When using the 400m reel on a vertical spool
pin, a piece of felt under the reel prevents the
ultra fine thread from sliding down and
wrapping around the pin. For optimum results
with the 2500m cones, use of a Thread Tamer™
is strongly recommended.
SEWING:
You may need to adjust the top and/or bobbin
tensions slightly. Sew at a moderate speed. Hold
on to the tails and start and stop slowly.
Turn off the stitch regulator as it may fail to
detect the ultra fine thread. Low bobbin sensors
will give an inaccurate reading.
Avoid using automatic scissors.
Finish: slight sheen
RECOMMENDED NEEDLE SIZES
Machine:
- 60/8, 70/10, 80/12
microtex
- 75/11, 90/14 quilting
- longarm - 16
Hand:
#11 or #12 sharps
USES:
Use whenever you want the thread to
“disappear”. An ideal bobbin thread for
machine embroidery, the ultra fine thread
adds negligible bulk and feels soft in the hand.
STITCH LENGTH:
When using InvisaFil™ in the top and in the
bobbin, shorten straight stitch to 1.0 - 1.5. For
added security, backstitch at the beginning
and end of each seam.
