Included in this set are 24 task cards that ask students to figure out the measure of a missing angle in a triangle, a recording sheet, and an answer key. These cards are NOT to scale! There are different types of problems included. Problems 1-­‐6 give students a picture of a triangle. Students must discover the measure of a missing angle. Cards 7-­‐12 has students use information given to discover a missing length. Cards 13-­‐24 gives students the measure of 2 angles in a triangle and ask them to discover the measure of the missing angle. There are multiple ways I use task cards in my classroom. Sometimes I have students pair up, sometimes I have students work alone. For this activity I would suggest having students sit in rows of 2. Each group should start out with a task card. After answering the question on the task card (should take 1-­‐2 minutes) each group should stand up and scoot down to the next card. Cards should stay in their original spot the entire time! If you would prefer not to have your students move, you can have them pass the task cards, but personally I have found students get more excited about an activity when they are able to move around (even if they are just moving down 1 seat!). Another way to play would be to play a game I call Speed Math. Directions can be found by clicking here: Speed Math There are 2 versions of the cards included in this set. One version has a polka dot border, one has just a basic black border which will help you save ink (if you need too!) To print the version with polka dots, print pages: 3-­‐10 (this will print the task cards, recording sheet, and answer key). To print the version with the basic black border print pages 9, 10, 13-­‐18.
