Conductivity and temperature simulator, SI 85

Conductivity and temperature
simulator, SI 85
At last! A replacement for the
classic decades of resistance!
The SI 85 switches an array of highprecision resistances electronically.
It simulates 6 values of conductivity
using resistances. Similarly, it also
simulates 6 different temperature
values, which facilitates verification
of the temperature scale of conductivity meters.
The SI 85 is an instrument for
verifying and self-calibrating lab
conductivity meters and is the
ideal tool for checking complete
installations for conductivity control
in industry.
Key features
The simulated values cover the
whole normal scale, from 1 µS, to
100 mS.
The real value of the simulated
conductivity or temperature can be
viewed on-screen.
Highly stable simulated values.
Long life membrane keypad, for
industrial use.
IP 65 protection.
The instrument can simulate:
- 6 different values of conductivity
- 6 values as a Pt 100 sensor
- 6 values as a Pt 1000.
Signal output comes from an MP-5
connector.
The on-screen conductivity values
are simulated in two different ways:
- ”Uni” objective values, measured
with a standard multimeter.
- ”GLP”, adapted values,
compensating for the length of the
cell cable for calibrating GLP CRISON
conductivity meters.
75
The instrument automatically
switches itself off if no keys are
pressed for 5 minutes.
This function can be disabled by the
user.
Uses very little electricity. With the
instrument on, the batteries will last
approximately 180 hours.
Low battery level indicated.
Practical case, optional, to keep the
instrument safe and carry it around.
Certificates
The SI 85 is supplied with the
specifications Certificate and the EC
Declaration of Conformity as per
directive EMC 89/336/EC.
With code 85 02 the instrument
is supplied with an ISO Calibration
Certificate, issued by the CRISON
calibration lab.
For further information, please see
page 132.
Re-calibration
There is very little drift over time in
the SI 85, thanks to its high-quality
components.
However, to ensure that the
simulated values are exact, CRISON
recommends annual calibration.
