As temperatures drop, please make sure to send
proper outdoor clothing with your student each day
they are at Urban Arts!
We go to the park as often as we are able, even in
the winter. Please make sure your student has
boots, snow pants, a hat, and water-resistant gloves
and jacket to wear outside.

an effort to bring awareness

painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, stage
designer, poet and playwright who spent most of his
adult life in France. He is known for co-founding
the Cubist movement, the invention of constructed
sculpture, the co-invention of collage, and for the
wide variety of styles that he helped develop and
explore.
Picasso demonstrated extraordinary artistic talent in
his early years, painting in a naturalistic manner
through his childhood and adolescence. During the
first decade of the 20th century, his style changed as
he experimented with different theories,
techniques, and ideas. His work is often categorized
into periods, such as the blue period, rose period,
and cubism period.
Exceptionally prolific throughout the course of his
long life, Picasso achieved universal renown and
immense fortune for his revolutionary artistic
accomplishments, and became one of the bestknown figures in 20th-century art. Several of his
paintings rank among the most expensive paintings
in the world, and his paintings have been stolen
more than those of any other artist. Picasso is
considered one of the greatest and most influential
artists of the 20th century.

Urban Arts is exploring several exciting new options
for our families! Your feedback on this survey will
help us assess how we can best serve you and your
family.
The first part of the survey evaluates possible
changes to our preschool program. Urban Arts
understands that consistent childcare is important
for many working families, and we are exploring
ways to better accommodate our community by
offering preschool programming year round.
The second part of the survey focuses on your
interest and preferences in attending parent
meeting groups facilitated by licensed psychologist
and board member Ann Layne, Ph.D. LP.
Your input is greatly appreciated, and will help to
shape the future of your community!
