“The training was
everything we needed.
Everyone had rave
reviews.”
How can I help?
Sarah Delicate has helped 100’s of
Employment Ontario (EO) service
providers understand and adjust to
outcome-based programming.
Whether you are just getting your
head around the model or want to
focus on growth and success,
Sarah can help you achieve your
targets while building employee
engagement and maintaining
your program integrity.
1. Getting Ready LBS
You can’t manage what you don’t understand. This workshop takes the
‘theory’ of the MTCU Performance Management System and translates it
into goals and targets on the ground, allowing you to adjust your
strategies and align your capacity for success.
How will you achieve your LBS targets? This LBS intensive will give you
the understanding you need to ‘operationalize’ your Schedule E targets.
You will learn:
1.
2.
3.
4.
About the Phase IIA standards,
How to map your traffic projections,
How to build your outreach strategy;
How to set your monthly targets for the year.
All participants will walk away with a sample internal performance
measurement spreadsheet that can help drive performance down to an
individual staff level. Desired results don’t happen by accident – they
require careful planning.
Strongly recommended for management and staff. It’s also a great
workshop for your Board of Directors. Come prepared with your most
recent DSQ and a calculator!
$1350* Half-Day Session

2. Understanding your LBS Reports
Your CaMS Reports are a valuable planning and strategy tool for your
organizations, but only if you understand them and see them as valuable.
“I am not a novice but
when I experience
workshops such as yours
my knowledge base is
enriched and provides me
with more enhanced
analytical skills.”
You have never before had such access to information about your
performance trends, your learners, your strengths and your weaknesses.
This riveting workshop will take you through the most critical MTCU CaMS
reports:

What information is critical to your day-to-day decision making?

What can you derive about who is and who is NOT being served?

What can you see regarding your program integrity?

What assumptions might your funder make, based on your data?
Bring a calculator and your most recent reports!


Performance Report: 64 DSQ
Operational Reports: 19A – follow up report, 20 – inactive cases,
60A – IR report, 61 – Case Activity Report (summary page ONLY),
60B – Plan/Profile, 60D – Outcomes
Strongly recommended for management and staff.
$1550* Full-Day Session
3. ES + LBS = ?
ES and LBS are together under the EO umbrella; strong
collaboration between these programs is critical to ensuring the
best support possible for clients and learners as they work towards
their goals.
Understanding the benefits and strengths of each program is the
first step of establishing strong community collaboration. If you or
your staff do not really understand what each program actually
does and how they do it, then this workshop is a MUST.
Explore the interconnections between LBS and ES in a practical, nononsense manner that will not only convince you that collaboration
is the best strategy for your clients, your learners and your
community, but that it is also your ticket to demonstrating
organizational capacity and achieving contracted commitments.
This workshop is suitable for management and staff. It is strongly
recommended as a community learning event for all EO programs.
$1350* Half-Day Session

4. LBS 911 – Engineering your Program Lifecycle
NOTHING is neutral in an outcome-based model.
How you market your program, build relationships, collect data,
conduct assessments, provide supports, build plans and do your
follow-ups impacts learner engagement, retention, and outcomes.
This workshop takes you through the common traps of program
design and looks at the best practices in engineering your service
offerings. You are guided through a self-assessment that helps you
identify your strengths, explore your opportunities, and set
priorities for engineering your program lifecycle.
Suitable for management, administration, and practitioners.
$1350* Half-Day Session
5. “I didn’t sign up for this crap!” Keeping staff
engaged while reaching for targets.
It is a common refrain – “all of this fuss about numbers is draining my
staff, killing morale, causing frustration, driving up sick leave and making
management bonkers!”
Yet, there are other organizations… those that are working towards similar
targets within similar budgets and similar labour markets… that seem to
have staff members that are thriving. Staff are energized, taking
responsibility, and innovating. What gives?
Since ignoring the targets is not a viable option, how might you help your
staff feel really great about their jobs and their outcome-based
responsibilities? This workshop will explore what goes into employee
engagement (and disengagement), and how to look at your current
program design through an engagement lens. Since emotionally engaged
employees typically outperform their less engaged counterparts by up to
28% (and are 87% less likely to quit), we think this is a pretty important
workshop.
Recommended for management.
$1350* Half-Day Session
“Sarah always delivers a
great workshop that is
easy to understand and
she speaks our language
(literacy). She knows this
stuff and can explain
better than anyone I have
heard.”
“I think Sarah Delicate is
extremely relevant and
should be at every
conference.”
“Sarah Delicate was
magnificent as usual. She
always brings in some
great concepts that you
can apply immediately.”

6. Math of Human Connections
The measures in your “outcome-based performance measurement framework” are not the only
numbers that you need to be paying attention to. While this is the math of compliance, what is the
math behind your mission/vision/mandate? Are you “hitting the targets but missing the point”?
This powerful course explores the math of our ‘raison d’être’:



Math of Ontario’s Demography,
Math of Poverty and Marginalization;
Math of our Labour Market Structures that challenge our efforts.
Recommended for management and staff.
$1350* Half-Day Session
7. Strategic Planning Sessions
Not meeting your targets? Want to turn this
around, or move to the next level?
Whether your aim is to achieve compliance or
to win awards, a “Continuous Improvement”
day with Sarah Delicate will help you build a
plan that will achieve results.
As your facilitator, Sarah will engage your
whole team in:
1.
2.
3.
4.
analyzing current results,
understanding cause,
developing improvement plans;
creating a structure for success.
Recommended for management, administration
and staff.
