Validation will occur on the main Claim/Auth tab of the Claim/Predetermination UI to ensure that a
claim source is attached to every claim/predetermination.

1. When either the “Next Step” button is clicked or a different tab is clicked, validation needs to be
added to the claim source value.
a. If the claim source dropdown has a value (meaning not blank), logic will continue as it
currently does.

b. If the claim source dropdown does not have a value (meaning it is blank), a message box
will display (see Figure 1).

c. The claim will remain on the main Claim/Auth tab. Focus will be on the claim source
drop down.
