The meeting was called to order by Dr. Gina Sheeks.
Shana Young gave an update on the progress of the Staff Focus Groups. The Staff Focus Groups met as
follows:




Friday, August 10, 2012 9am - 11am - Yancey Center, One Arsenal Room 114
Monday, August 13, 2012 3pm - 5pm - Cunningham Center, Room 209/210
A compilation of those meetings resulted in the Columbus State University: 2012 SWOT Face-to-Face
Focus Group Results. The Commission was divided into groups to discuss the SWOTs (Strengths,
Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) which were derived from those meetings.
Following much discussion on the placement and wording of SWOTs, Shana Young:





Will continue compiling all student results - both online and face-to-face;
Will meet with Dr. Sheeks to ascertain an appropriate meeting time with SGA;
Will meet with Deans Council to get their perspective on times to meet with faculty;
Will schedule face-to-face group meetings with faculty members;
Will work on possible night sessions with graduate students.
