Texas State Brochure Project
Due: Friday, May 30, 2014
Create a brochure for the class that will showcase all the wonderful things Texas has to offer. You have
been provided with an information sheet which you are expected to complete in order to successfully
create your brochure. You will research your state using the recommended websites, in addition to any
other resources that provide accurate and detailed data. Social Studies textbooks in class will be a great
tool but may not have all the information you need.
Attached is an outline of what is expected to be complete on each page of the brochure. If you follow
these directions, the creation of your brochure should be simple! Remember, by simply filling out the
information sheet and transferring the information to the brochure will not earn you a good grade. Make
your brochure your masterpiece and show what you know about your state in a creative way.
You will be graded based on the rubric below. Use this rubric as a guide to assist throughout the process of
creating your state of Texas brochure.
