Have you wondered how our first semester’s
mission collection for St. Lucia in the
Caribbean is being used? We received a letter of
thanks from our WELS Missions Administrator
stating: “Your gift will be used to help support our
outreach efforts among the people on the island and
the training of local lay leaders and individuals training for full-time ministry. Land was purchased and
plans for a facility are being developed. We have 3
called workers serving the field. Your gift will help us
to continue to support this ministry. Thank you!”
Chapel, April 13th, will be led by St. Croix instructor Mr. Boehm and is entitled “The Impossible
Task.” Playing for chapel will be Elizabeth
Schacht. Please join us in church beginning at
9:15 am. Our mission offerings second semester
to Sudanese Mission at Lincoln Heights Lutheran Church in Iowa: $342.51.
Christ Lutheran Church Member Tuition Assistance forms are due May 1st. Need a form? Inquire in the school office.
Looking Ahead: Grandparents’ Day for our students in Pre-K through grade 3 is scheduled for April
27 at 11 a.m. Please check your family envelope for
a sign-up sheet for the pizza lunch. There will be a
performance for the parents at 6:30 p.m. on April 27,
as well. Sorry, no pizza, but there will be about an
hour of songs, poems and a lot of enthusiastic performers. Please plan to attend if you have a Pre-Kgrade 3 child.
Thank you for keeping the Cougar Corner kids
safe by not dropping off or picking up your children
behind the school.
St. Croix’s Spring Sacred Concert will be held
on Sunday, April 10th at 3:00 and 7:00 pm in the
Chapel. There will be a spaghetti dinner served
from 4:30—6:00 pm.

“Shine Like Stars.” Philippians 2:15
This Week at CLS—
"In like a lion, out like a
lamb?" (Or is it "In like a lamb,
out like a lion?") At any rate, spring is here, with
spring classroom activities and lots more... The
pre-K classes read The Wind Blew and flew a
kite. The kindergarteners studied "U" and
planted seeds underground. Solids, liquids and
gases were the study in grade one. The second
graders plotted perimeter and area. Stone Fox
was the story in third grade. Fourth graders
were into synonyms and antonyms, while fifth
graders dreamed up their own inventions. Sixth
grade was the site of Reader's Theater
presentations. They also investigated
percentage, simple interest and adverbs. The
Psalms, modern-day Europe and the respiratory
and circulatory systems were topics in grade
seven. Eighth graders studied parabolas,
fantasy stories and acids, bases and salts.
Thanks to students in grades 4-8 for glorifying
our Lenten Lord through song March 28. A very
blessed Holy Week and Easter to all! Thank
you for your support of Christian education!
Save The Date For VBS: "Shine Like Stars" is the
theme for this summer's VBS to be held the week of
June 18th-22nd. Stay tuned for ways
that YOU can shine like a star as we
reach out to our children and community!
Donations For Education
Please consider sharing your time
and talents to assist us in this
outreach effort. Your volunteer service at
Twins games will increase our ability to offer
Tuition Assistance to families. Tuition
assistance will help give children the
opportunity to attend CLS and hear about
Jesus each and every day! Remember to
sign up before the end of March at:
[email protected].
Thank You!
