Friday (NEW #7 and SOW: Including Quotes in Sentences).
Math 6 students will work on unit rates and have a quiz Friday.
Social Studies 6 students will inquire "was agriculture good for humans"? Students
should be prepared for an FF quiz on the seven elements of civilization Wednesday.

revolution around the Sun. As we finish learning about the Earth's cyclical motions,
we will have a quiz.

Wednesday.

English 7 students will continue reading The Giver and finding evidence that it's a
dystopia, writing down text details that support students' specific claims (in their
reading log). Some nights students will have reading HW and will fill in their reading
log, while other nights they'll have to write a journal response in their notebook. The
2nd page of their blue Giver packet has a calendar of assignments. Wednesday we will
have our in class spelling bee and visit the book fair.
Math 7 students will be working on applying our knowledge of proportions and will be
working with similar figures. We will try to see how similar shapes are in proportion
with one another. We will then start our scale drawing/similar figures project based on
enlarging a holiday/winter themed picture.
Social Studies 7 students will be following the steps of the colonists and preparing for
the American Revolution as they analyze the Declaration of Independence and how, for
it to have any real meaning, the Americans would have to win their liberties on the
battlefield. There is a vocab quiz for chapter 6 on Monday, 12/19. Weekly online
Castle Questions have also started. Please encourage your student to complete their
online questions in a timely manner as the questions help to review and reinforce
material from class. Get updates on what is going on in class… sign up for Guardian
Summaries. Email me ([email protected]) today and I will send you an invite!
