Big Idea/Theme:
Mathematical processes are used to understand measurement concepts in
everyday activities.
Culminating Assessment:
“Show Me the Money”
Teacher will work with students in small groups.
Provide each student with real coins, a play dollar bill, and a sorting mat
(included). Students will first sort coins based on attributes and place
them under the correct coin name.
After they have sorted, students will write the coin values to match.
Teacher will complete rubric after observing students for success.
