IT IS EXPECTED THAT THE MAX ALLOWED DRAFT GO FROM 45' SW (13,75M) TO 50' SW (15,24M), AND THE TWO DAILY PERIODS OF TIME FOR IN/OUT MANEUVERS (TIDES) FOR HEAVY DRAFTED SHIPS INCREASE IN ABT 2 HOURS ALLOWING A DIRECT NAVIGATION FROM BERTH TO OPEN SEA, WITHOUT THE NEED TO AWAIT AT BOUYS 17 OR 11 FOR ANOTHER TIDE. THE CRITICAL POINT OF 45' DEPTH AT ZERO TIDE IS LOCATED IN THE MAIN CHANNEL. WE WILL REVERT WITH OFFICAL NEWS FROM COASTGUARD AND PORT ADMINISTRATION. FPLEASE NOTE THAT THE PORT ADMINISTRATION OF BAHIA BLANCA PORT CONFIRMED THAT AS FROM APRIL 01ST, 2014, THE TARIFF OF PORT DUES AND CHANNEL TOLLS WILL INCREASE TO: USD 1,50/MT - CHANNEL TOLLS (INCLUDING ADDITIONAL SURCHARGE). TTL INCREASE OF 50% USD 0,37/NRT – PORT DUES. SAME TARIFF FOR EVERY TYPE OF OPERATION. TTL INCREASE OF 70% USD 0,70/MT – CHARGED TO SHIPPERS/EXPORTERS.
