I380 Signage Northbound
Signage for the ATE system is posted at the entrance to the city on all major roadways and just prior to
each location. On I380, they are posted on the speed limit sign just prior to the location. If you look at the
speed limit sign, you will see the “Photo Enforced” warning signage as well. If you are driving at the
posted speed limit, no violation can be captured. All signage is posted based on the Manual for
Uniformed Traffic Control Device (MUTCD).
The signage on I380 northbound for speed limits and photo enforcement warnings is as follows:
-Wright Brothers Blvd SW – Cedar Rapids city limit sign, “TRAFFIC LAWS PHOTO ENFORCED”
(The speed limit is 70 miles per hour at this point.)
-70 miles per hour sign just prior to 76 Ave SW overpass on the outside lane.
-Highway 30 – 3200 feet prior to the interchange, the speed limit changes to 60 miles per hour. The
signage is on the inside and outside lanes with red flags above the signs.
-60 miles per hour signage just prior to 27 Ave overpass.
-15 Ave SW – 900 feet north of 15 Ave the speed limit changes to 55 miles per hour. The signage is on
the inside and outside lanes with red flags above the signs. At the bottom of the speed limit sign is the
“PHOTO ENFORCED” signage.
-55 miles per hour signage between 7 and 8 St NE on the outside lane.
-55 miles per hour signage at the end of the “S” curve just prior to H Ave exit on the outside lane.
-55 mile per hour signage at the on ramp from H Ave NE on the outside lane. At the bottom of the speed
limit sign is “PHOTO ENFORCED” signage.
I380 Signage Southbound

The signage on I380 northbound for speed limits and photo enforcement warnings is as follows:
-When you enter the City of Cedar Rapids at Blairsferry Rd, the speed limit is 60 miles per hour. Under
the green “Cedar Rapids” sign, is a sign posted “TRAFFIC LAWS PHOTO ENFORCED”
-Just past Collins Rd NE is a 60 miles per hours sign on the outside lanes.
-At H Ave overhead signage (mile marker 22), there are 2 signs posting the change to 55 miles per hour.
These are on the outside and inside lanes. Below the 55 mile per hour sign are “Photo Enforced” signs.
-The ATE cameras are located at the overpass of J Ave NE.
-At the beginning for the 7 St Exit which is a continuation of the H Ave on ramp, is a 55 mile per hour
sign on the outside lanes.
-At the 7 St on ramp which is the beginning of the 1 St exit is a 55 mile per hour sign on the outside lane.

-At the on ramp of 1 St, on the bridge crossing the Cedar River, are 2 signs for 55 miles per hour on the
inside and outside lanes. Below the signs are “Photo Enforced” signs.
-The ATE cameras are located at the overpass of 1 Ave west.
