Body Pointing by Colleen and Uncle Squaty
Here’s a tune we like to call ‘Body Pointing’. It’s fun to do. First, let’s take our elbow and…
Point to the wall, point to the door
Point to the ceiling, point to the floor
Body pointing is fun. Let’s do some more, but first…
Hold your leg up.
Good balancing! You can put your leg down,…lift up your toe and,
Point to the wall, point to the door
Point to the ceiling, point to the floor
Body pointing is fun. Let’s do some more, but first…
Hold your leg up.
Hey! You’re really good at this. Try lifting your other leg and use your knee to…
Point to the wall, point to the door
Point to the ceiling, point to the floor
Body pointing is fun. Let’s do some more, but first…
Hold your leg up.
Heh! Heh! I almost lost my balance! Let’s put both feet on the ground and use our heads.
Point to the wall, point to the door
Point to the ceiling, point to the floor
Body pointing is fun. Let’s do some more, but first…
Hold your leg up.
That one was easy! Here’s a funny one. Now we’re going from our tops to our bottoms…
Point to the wall, point to the door
Point to the ceiling, point to the floor
Body pointing is fun. We’d like to some more, but right now…
Sit your bottom down.
Good listening everyone!
The Adventures of Alice in ‘Ickety Land’
by Colleen and Uncle Squaty
I Was Walking in the Woods by Rob Reid
Adapted and arranged by Colleen and Uncle Squaty
Hello! Boys and Girls. This is Uncle Squaty. My friend, Colleen, and I would like to tell you a story, about the
time the two of us were singing circle-time songs, around a campfire at the 3R ranch, when we decided to take
a hike in the woods. There were 2 paths to choose from. I took one and she took the other. This is what
happened:
I was walking in the woods, when I saw ten wolves,
Ten wolves I saw and this is what they said: “Howl!”
I was walking in the woods, when I saw nine bears,
Nine bears I saw and this is what they said: “Grrr!”
I was walking in the woods, when I saw eight owls,
Eight owls I saw and this is what they said: “Hoot-hoot!”
I was walking in the woods, when I saw seven wild turkeys,
Seven wild turkeys I saw and this is what they said: “Gobble-gobble!”
I was walking in the woods, when I saw six bobcats,
Six bobcats I saw and this is what they said: “Ree-ow!”
I was walking in the woods, when I saw five eagles,
Five eagles I saw and this is what they said: “Screech!”
I was walking in the woods, when I saw four crows,
Four crows I saw and this is what they said: “Caw!”
I was walking in the woods, when I saw three moose,
Three moose I saw and this is what they said: “Maa-aaa!”
I was walking in the woods, when I saw two mice,
Two mice I saw and this is what they said: “Squeak-squeak!”
It was about this time when our paths came together, it was getting' kinda dark
and turning colder weather.
Now the story's almost over, but I forgot to tell ya..
We did see one more thing...
We were walking in the woods, when we saw one skunk,
One skunk we saw and this is what we said: “Run!”
Well, we ran through the trees and the bushes and the flowers,
That skunk went his way and we went ours.
Back to the campfire at the 3R ranch, where we ate s'mores and
picked 'wood ticks' off our pants.
That's what happened when, That's what happened when
We took a walk in the woods
What Color Did You Wear? Traditional song “Jenny Jenkins”
New Lyrics by Colleen and Uncle Squaty
Oh, did you wear white, oh my dear, oh my dear
Oh, did you wear white, any children?
If you did wear white, turn around to the right
Chorus:
And show me your right hand, left hand,
Curl ‘em up, fold your arms together and show me.
Roll… all my children, roll.
Oh, did you wear red, then nod your head
Oh, did you wear green, then bend and lean
Oh, did you wear brown, then jump up and down
Oh did you wear blue, then off you flew
Oh, did you wear pink, then give us a wink
Oh, did you wear yellow, then shake like ‘jello’
Oh, did you wear a dress, then blow us a kiss
Oh, did you wear pants, then show us a dance
