The Adventures of Alice in ‘Ickety Land’ by Colleen and Uncle Squaty I Was Walking in the Woods by Rob Reid Adapted and arranged by Colleen and Uncle Squaty Hello! Boys and Girls. This is Uncle Squaty. My friend, Colleen, and I would like to tell you a story, about the time the two of us were singing circle-time songs, around a campfire at the 3R ranch, when we decided to take a hike in the woods. There were 2 paths to choose from. I took one and she took the other. This is what happened: I was walking in the woods, when I saw ten wolves, Ten wolves I saw and this is what they said: “Howl!” I was walking in the woods, when I saw nine bears, Nine bears I saw and this is what they said: “Grrr!” I was walking in the woods, when I saw eight owls, Eight owls I saw and this is what they said: “Hoot-hoot!” I was walking in the woods, when I saw seven wild turkeys, Seven wild turkeys I saw and this is what they said: “Gobble-gobble!” I was walking in the woods, when I saw six bobcats, Six bobcats I saw and this is what they said: “Ree-ow!” I was walking in the woods, when I saw five eagles, Five eagles I saw and this is what they said: “Screech!” I was walking in the woods, when I saw four crows, Four crows I saw and this is what they said: “Caw!” I was walking in the woods, when I saw three moose, Three moose I saw and this is what they said: “Maa-aaa!” I was walking in the woods, when I saw two mice, Two mice I saw and this is what they said: “Squeak-squeak!” It was about this time when our paths came together, it was getting' kinda dark and turning colder weather. Now the story's almost over, but I forgot to tell ya.. We did see one more thing... We were walking in the woods, when we saw one skunk, One skunk we saw and this is what we said: “Run!” Well, we ran through the trees and the bushes and the flowers, That skunk went his way and we went ours. Back to the campfire at the 3R ranch, where we ate s'mores and picked 'wood ticks' off our pants. That's what happened when, That's what happened when We took a walk in the woods What Color Did You Wear?
