Dinosaurs are big big big
To find them you must dig dig dig.
Some had spikes, some had scales
That was protection hard as nails.
We know that they hatched from eggs
Some flew, some walked on legs.
My favorite is triceratops
That ate the prehistoric crops.
Why Dinosaurs are Extinct
Once upon a time there lived
a dinosaur named Bob. He was a
magician. One day, Bob wanted to
put on a magic show, so he wrote
down two magic words on a leaf
because they didn’t have paper
back then, and went to the magic
show. For his first act he was going
to pull a raptor out of his hat, but
said the wrong magic words and
made all dinosaurs go extinct.

Fantasy or Reality?
Today dinosaurs exist only in books. Some books tell
about dinosaurs that lived millions of years ago (reality).
Others tell make-believe stories in which dinosaurs talk,
go to diners, and help at home with chores (fantasy).
In fact, you will see both kinds of dinosaurs in these
activity pages. Review the information on pages 2 and
3 of your Zoobooks. Then write Fantasy or Reality on
the line after each statement about dinosaurs.
1.Early cavemen trained and kept small dinosaurs
as pets. ____________
2.Some dinosaurs moved slowly and carefully,
while others probably could run very fast.
____________
3.The tiny brains and slow intelligence of most dinosaurs made it easy for cavemen to capture them for food. ____________
4.All dinosaurs were very big animals. _____________
5.All dinosaurs were members of the lizard/reptile family and only prepared worms for dinner. ___________
6.Scientists think that some dinosaurs were warm-blooded. ___________
