SHOOTOUT DAY FORMAT (as described in league rules):
1) The 13 teams that have not already qualified for the playoffs are participating on Shootout Day to determine the 8th and last playoff spot.
The 13 teams were seeded 1 through 13 based on regular season cumulative 1st half points and then split into two divisions: the Sine Division and
Cosine Division as indicated on the Shootout Day Schedule. Teams in a division will compete against all other teams in the division in a head-to-head
match. A win will be credited to the team winning the head to-head match. In the event of a tie, each team will be awarded a 1/2 win.
2) Each division winner will be the team with the highest cumulative points total. If a tie exists, the team with the most "wins" will be the division
winner. If a tie still exists, tie-breakers outlined on page 8 of the 2013 Math League Rules will be utilized.
3) The winners of the Sine and Cosine Divisions will compete in a head-to-head match. The winner of this match will be the Shootout winner and will
will advance to the Final Playoff Round as the last wild card team.
FINAL PLAYOFF ROUND TEAMS
The four regular season division winners and three wild card teams have already qualified for the Final Playoff Round on Thursday, November 21, 2013
in the Home Health Audition at JCJC. These teams will NOT participate on the Shootout Day. The 8 playoff teams will be seeded by regular season
Cumulative 1st Half Points. The Final Round Playoff Bracket will be as shown on page 8 of the 2013 Math League Rules seeded as follows:
