Description
With over 20 years’ design experience and a wide range of
proven designs and options, we pride ourselves in offering
exceptional speed of response and, ultimately, the lowest
total cost of ownership in the retail banking industry. The
challenges we have faced with our customers has led to a
wealth of experience.
Counter space - The majority of the applications we satisfy
have significant space constraints. We are experts at
providing compact designs, with full function keyboards as
small as 27cm by 14cm.
Integrated functionality - The integration of various
data capture devices into the keyboard provides reduced
cabling, less counter-top clutter and simpler installation and
maintenance.
A number of devices can be integrated in the keyboard
including smart card and magnetic swipe readers, cheque
readers, pointing devices and smart card and biometric log-on
capability.
Ergonomics - By working alongside many blue-chip
multinational banks, we are familiar with the latest
international requirements for health and safety.
Branding - Significant investments are made by our
customers in their brand, and their brand image can be
carried through to the keyboard as simply as adding the
corporate logo or as far as matching the keyboard housing
and keytops to the corporate colours.
Reliability - Reliability is built in to all products as standard.
This begins with the use of high quality key switches that are
rated to withstand 50 million operations. Contact is made
half way along the key switch’s 4mm travel, providing a high
quality and responsive feel to the operator. All keyboards are
built around a robust steel frame providing a strong backbone to every design.

Biometrics - A new development for bank teller keyboards
is finger print reading. Integrated in the keyboard it can be
used for secure log on allowing traceability of transactions
and protection from identity theft for the operator. Finger print
modules are also available for use on the customer side of
bank counters.

This keyboard has an integrated GlidePoint ® touchpad and was designed
to occupy the minimum of desk-space without compromising reliability
or functionality. Attention was given to optimise the key layout to suit
the customer’s application.
Barclays Bank
Teller Keyboard
Model: AKC090
A compact keyboard designed with a hybrid EMV chip card and MSR
reader, and with two Gemplus smart card readers for user log-on and card
authorization. Following twelve years with an Access teller keyboard the
customer re-specified this enhanced functionality product.

Model: ATB425MDOP
A keyboard with integrated bidirectional OCR reader for OCR-B
documents. With Icelandic language keyset. No special drivers
required.

satisfy the demanding requirements of a trading environment and to integrate in to existing common platforms. In use at Merrill
