About Landcare
Landcare is an independent traditional nursery occupying an 8 acre site
growing and caring for plants. We sell to the General Public, Landscapers and
Garden Designers. We aim to provide healthy high quality plants, which we
source from a number of growers or from our own field and nursery stock.
We supply a wide range of trees and shrubs in containers, root balls or as bare
root according to the season. We specialise in quality plants for hedging and
trees up to 4m in height.
We have a selection of herbaceous perennials, conifers, climbers and
wildflowers.
We are always making additions to our range of container grown plants.
If you cannot see the plant you want in this catalogue, please ask as it may be
available from our regular suppliers.

Available October to March.
Many of the larger evergreen plants are sold as rootballed and are less
expensive than similar sized container grown plants. They are field
grown, then undercut with their soil and roots, which are then wrapped
in biodegradable hessian.
Please check our website for the new season’s stock and prices.
Better still visit us in the nursery.
Remember newly planted trees and shrubs can take a couple of years

Field Grown Transplants (Bare Root)
We supply as many transplants from locally grown sources and British
seed provenance are used where possible. We believe that this
produces study plants with the best rooting systems for those early
years when plants are getting established.
Bare root transplants / trees are supplied with their roots in bags to
prevent them drying out. You can store them temporarily in a sheltered
cool, frost free place and plant within a few days or heel them in
(temporarily planted in bundles) until you are ready.
Available November to March
45-60cm = 1.5-2ft, 60-90cm = 2-3ft, 90-120cm = 3-4ft.
Please consider if your plants require protection from rabbits or deer.

We aim to supply healthy trees and shrubs of a consistently high quality.
We lift our bare root stock carefully to ensure they are in as good a
condition as possible.
In the unlikely event that any should fail to establish during their first
spring we will offer a replacement or a refund. We will need to be satisfied that they have been treated appropriately and must be informed of
any failure by the end of May.
