What does a NEMA 4X/IP66 Rating Mean to You?
3M Dynapro industrial products, designed for use in hazardous
environments must also be resistant to environmental factors
that could affect the performance or reliability of the unit.
3M Dynapro products are rated to a NEMA 4X/IP66. NEMA
(“National Electrical Manufacturer's Association”) defines the
standards for sealing equipment enclosures against liquid and
dirt. A NEMA 4X rating ensures the 3M Dynapro units can
withstand corrosion, windblown dust and rain, splashing and/or
hose-directed water, and remain undamaged by ice formation.
• Durability: consistently withstands scratching, pitting,
and other surface damage associated with abrasives
and chemicals
• Optical Clarity: high transmissivity combined with glare
and reflection protection enable NFI to provide a
sparkling clear window to control applications
• Touch Sensitivity: works with or without gloves through
moisture, oil, dirt and other contaminants
• Expanded Touch Area: offered exclusively by
3M Touch Systems, the TouchSurround extends the
touch sensitive area beyond the display for a larger
and more versatile interactive screen which can be
designed to match any application.
Certification of industrial products for hazardous environments
is a complex process, but safety and reliability is the most

certified with the strictest certification gives the user the
reliability and performance of commercial grade PCs and
Monitors without jeopardizing system integrity.
