The NFS Marvel Winter Carnival January 25-29,
2016 – all proceeds to go to Friends of the Moncton Hospital(We are an inclusive school therefore all comic book and graphic
novel characters are welcome)
The Marvel Winter Carnival is a time to celebrate graphic
novels and their characters and adventures while having great
fun during our winter carnival. DC comics, Marvel comics,
Archie, Bones, Nate the Great, Scooby Doo, Geronimo Stilton
and all the rest are welcome to NFS this week!
Week long Activities:
 The Jelly Bean Jar – everyday at noon take a guess at the
number of beans in the jar. The winner will be announced at
week’s end. All monies to be donated to the Douglas House
Charity- Friends of the Moncton Hospital.
 Bring your comics or graphic novels to school and come to the
Atrium at 1st recess to read and discuss with friends. Teachers
please give a paper to the student with your name, class and
their name. They can present it at the entrance.
 K-8 Door Decorating Contest- Start on Monday decorating your
door in a Marvel-ous way. Choose a comic theme or make a
collage of the class favorites. The judges will be around on
Friday at noon. Winners will be announced after lunch. Door
decoration trophies will be displayed until next year’s carnival.
