Simplifying Adding
& Subtracting
Radicals
When adding radicals they must have the same radicand and same index. Ex. 3 7 and 7 are like radicals.
If they are not like radicals, then simplify the radical to see if the radicals are the same.
Once the radicals are like radicals, add or subtract the coefficients and keep the radicands the same.
