VMS Maschinenbau GmbH began in 1994 in the heart
of “Packaging Valley,” a unique consortium of packaging
machinery manufacturers in Baden-Württemberg. As an
owner-run independent corporation, we have developed

Filling machines working for years at a high hourly throughput, without interrupting the production flow and in often
very demanding environment. At some point they reach the
end of their useful life cycle or are taken out of service due

We handle the complete rebuilt of these machines. An
interesting alternative for the reason of reduced investment
costs by up to 30% compared to new machines. We go way
beyond a traditional overhaul. Our goal is always to provide

Kontifill
®
The VMS Kontifill® model provides our customers with
the highest level of hygiene standards up to log6 level.
Our seal-less piston fillers guaranty high fill accuracies for
many years. Filling systems are Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) and
Sterilizing-in-Place (SIP).
The Kontifill® is a continuous motion, high performance
(even with low viscosity products) fully servo driven filling
system.
In terms of product safety and hygiene the unit is fully enclosed in a „tunnel“ where sterile air is fed selectively and
air exchange between the outside environment and the
enclosed sterile tunnel or room is significantly minimized
and nearly eliminated.
These causes the MAC - values are not only met, but even
exceeded.
The cantilevered servo drives are fully enclosed and isolated in the sterile area. They are easily accessible and
serviceable.
The space saving system control components are fully
integrated reducing start-up times. All product contact
areas are sterilized with saturated steam at 143°C. The
sterile tunnel is cleaned with hydrogen peroxide. Further
disinfection of packaging is also carried out with H2O2. The
residual peroxide remaining after the disinfection process
is less than 0.5 ppm while maintaining log6 levels.
The innovative VMS control package can also be monitored and operated remotely through a standard smart
phone or tablet.

The high performance VMS servo-driven seal-less CIP/SIP
piston fillers provide consistently high filling accuracy
over the 1-12 kg range while allowing simple and flexible
format changes.
We achieve with our GGF series (large pail or tub filling
system) log6 without any problem. A bulkhead seals the
tunnel during cleaning or during extended machine stop.
We meet or exceed required MAC values without any
problem. Also in the GGF series, we rely on the proven
mezzanine structure allowing easy service access for technicians and operators.
The entrance and exit areas of the sterile tunnel have
exhaust systems to avoid air exchange with surrounding
area.
All product contact areas are sterilized with saturated
steam at 143°C.
The sterile tunnel is cleaned with hydrogen peroxide.
Further disinfection of packaging materials is also carried
out with H2O2.
The residual peroxide remaining after the disinfection
process is less than 0.5 ppm while Maintaining log6.
A container leak detection system is integrated and
insures that only properly sealed containers are delivered
dowmstream.
