PAPERS 1622–1834
These records held by BLARS relate to apprenticeship, bastardy and, above all,
'settlement': the movement of individuals and families between parishes both in
different parts of the county and further afield into other counties. They can be
immensely useful and rewarding to the family historian. This book is a county-wide
index of all the names recorded in the surviving papers. The previous edition of this
book is also available on CD (see page 5).

MICROFICHE: BFHS MICROFICHE
(While Stocks Last)
GENERAL NOTE ON THE SUPPLY OF ALL MICROFICHE PRODUCED BY BFHS:
The trend is now for family history societies to produce more of their material on CD for
searching or reading on a PC. This trend is being hastened by the fact that our
previous supplier of microfiche, having moved premises, is no longer willing to make
copies for us and so our existing stocks will gradually run down.
