Lloyd Road School - Thanksgiving Food Drive
It’s time once again for our annual Thanksgiving food drive to help benefit our very own Lloyd Road families this
holiday season. The Pick A Feather food drive gives the children an opportunity to pick a feather from our Lloyd Road
turkey displayed in the school lobby. Each feather will have a non-perishable food item listed on it that we will ask
you to donate. Hopefully, once all the feathers are “picked”, we will have enough donations to make up several
baskets for our very own Lloyd Road families that have a need for one.
Some examples of non-perishable foods needed are: gravy, instant potatoes, canned veggies, canned fruit, stuffing,
rice, beans, ketchup, mustard, cranberry sauce, boxed mac & cheese, cereal, soup, pasta, sauce, pancake mix, syrup,
oatmeal , pudding mix, cookie/cake/brownie mix, frosting, coffee, juice boxes, etc. Again, the feathers will have the
food item listed so that we will have enough of everything. PLEASE DO NOT SEND PERISHABLE ITEMS INCLUDING
PRODUCE.
If you would like to participate in our Pick A Feather food drive, please fill out the slip below and return in your child’s
backpack. Please make sure to note how many feathers the student has permission to pick. Students will be picking
feathers the week of November 10th and we will start collecting the donations the week of November 17 th.
