Start out by gathering all the hardware needed. You will need five 10” Slatwall Hooks and two Flat Acrylic Sign Holders. Start by placing three 10” slatwall hooks evenly across the slatwall portion of the mini Sun Station. Use one Sand Castle Kit per hook to get the correct spacing. Then place two of the Flat Acrylic Sign Holders above and in between the three Sand Castle Kits. Next use the last two 10” hooks to merchandise the Sol Flyers at the top, using one Sol Flyer per hook to get the correct spacing. Finally, fill up your hooks with merchandise. EVERYTHING CHANGES COLOR IN THE SUN! 7 SALES TIPS Sand Castle Kit Sales Training: Specific Sales Tips: • Many beach-goers have never built a sand castle (which is a shame!) or haven’t built one since they were children. Tell them (or remind them) how much fun it is, no matter their age. • Try to create an emotional need for your customers. You can do this by trying to read and understand their situation. For example: 1. If a family comes in, talk about how building sand castles is a fun family activity. With five pieces in the kit, everyone must work together to build their masterpiece. Talk about the fun you’ve had with friends or family when you built sand castles in the past. 2. If a family comes in and the parents look fatigued because their children are loud and crazy, talk about how the sand castle kit will keep their kids busy for hours while the parents get some much needed relaxation time at the beach. • Watch for signs that a customer is headed to the beach. They may have a beach towel or a cooler, or they may be wearing only a bathing suit. If you know somebody is going to the beach, suggest the sand castle kit as a fun addition to their beach experience. • At just $10, it’s a simple and fun “Why not?” purchase that every age will enjoy – from children to college kids to grandparents. • The kit comes with five tools: 1. Pail: Castles should be built above the tide line, but you need to build with wet sand. The pail is useful for carrying wet sand from the water’s edge to your build site. 2. Shovel: Not only does the shovel help dig the wet sand to be carried in the pail, but every great castle needs a moat. 3. Rake: The rake helps groom the ground around the castle. You can also use the back of the rake to smooth the walls and the edges of the castle. 4. Sand Castle Mold: Fill this with wet sand and place it on top of a wall or edge to make it look like a real castle. 5. Watering Can: Dry sand does not stick together, so if your castle dries out it will start to crumble.
