ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY TESTING REQUIRED
1. Canadian Medical Graduate: Regardless of citizenship, someone who obtained their primary medical degree from a Canadian university.
2. International Medical Graduate: Regardless of citizenship, someone who obtained their primary medical degree from a university outside of Canada.
3. Exempt countries: Australia, Bahamas, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Canada (Quebec and New Brunswick may be exceptions), Ireland, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa,
United Kingdom, United States of America, US Virgin Islands, Caribbean Islands: Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, Grenadines, Jamaica, St. Kitts and Nevis,
St. Lucia, St. Vincent, and Trinidad and Tobago
4. Exempt university: Any Canadian university EXCEPT Universitè de Montreal, Universitè de Sherbrooke, Universitè Laval, and the University of Ottawa (French programme)
5. English language proficiency testing: The CPSA must be able to verify the test results with the issuing organization. TOEFL results more than two years old cannot be verified.
