Spin North Newsletter…A program proudly brought to you by Starpoint December 2016 As we look back on the year we would like to thank all of our families for letting us be a part of your children’s lives. This month we will be doing fun activities throughout the center so please watch out for classroom postings. Also with the crazy Colorado weather please watch from day to day to see what the weather will bring. There will be a couple of closures this month so please look at the calendar. “It is in the littlest things of life we may find Real and True Joy!” Nicole Francis, Center Director Infants: Happy December, We would like to welcome Mrs. Kathy as our new lead teacher in the infant room. As the weather is getting colder, we would like to make sure we have warmer clothes for our babies. Please check you cubbies and make sure there are warm as well as clothes that fit. As we all know babies grow fast! We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas Holiday as well. Mrs. Kathy & Ms. Sara Toddlers: Hello parents: We are going to continue on working on social skills as well as using our words. The toddlers have taken a liking to reading books and having books read to them so we will be doing a lot more reading in the next month. Their favorite right now is The Very Hungry Caterpillar. If families have any books that they know are their child’s favorite please bring it or share and we will try to include that into our library. As we move into cooler weather please dress children for the weather. WE GO OUTSIDE EVVERY DAY. So if a jacket is needed please send it. Please check your child’s cubby and provide at least one extra set of clothes as toddlers are occasionally messy learning new skills. Mrs. Danetta & Ms. Kristin Preschool Room #2 Preschool Room #3 This year has gone by so fast. The kids are growing like weeds. With the weather getting colder please check to make sure we have a change of clothes that fit. We go outside everyday so it is extremely important that your child is dressed appropriately. Happy December to everyone. You may have noticed your child using different voice volumes. We have been using out mouse and cat volumes inside the classroom. We save our lion voices for outside. This month we will concentrate on making gifts for our parents and feeling our bucket with snowflakes. We are going to continue talking about traditions and how each family celebrates the holidays. Ms. Brittany, Mrs. Corrin Merry Christmas from our families to yours. Ms. Christine, Ms. Stephanie, Ms. Mary Preschool Room #6 State regulations require that we must go outside if the temperature is above 20 degrees. Please dress children accordingly and note that the majority of our playground is shaded. The holiday season is in full swing! Children will be writing letters and decorating cookies. We strive to incorporate any special family traditions into our decorations and special projects. Please let me know if there is something specific you would like us to include!
