For the safety of all our patrons, the YMCA of
Greater Houston has adopted a “No Video / No
Photo” policy. Picture taking is not allowed in
locker rooms, dressing areas, shower areas,
restrooms, pools or workout areas of the YMCA.
Our facility conducts routine lifeguard skill checks
and mock drills. During this time we ask that you
follow the lifeguard’s directions and evacuate the
pool / pool deck when necessary. It is essential we
practice during open pool hours to prepare for an
emergency should the need arise.
For safety reasons once we reach our max pool
capacity we will not be able to allow additional
patrons onto the pool deck. During max capacity
times, we may need to suspend swim testing to
accommodate all the lifeguards being in rotation.
Due to health standards and for safety precautions,
we cannot allow any type of clothing in the pool
other than those made for the water. Other
materials can weigh a swimmer down and pose a
threat to their safety. We ask that every swimmer
wear appropriate swim attire at all times.
Please help us in maintaining a clean and sanitary
environment and not change diapers and clothes on
the pool deck. Locker rooms and family changing
rooms are available for your use.
The Lifeguards and Y Staff are here to provide a
safe, fun environment for you and your family and
have final authority at the pools.
