I walk by faith, Each step by faith To live by faith, I put my trust in You. Every step I take Is a step of faith No weapon formed against me Shall prosper And every prayer I make Is a prayer of faith And if my God is for me Then who can be against me? Chris Falson Transformed People Transforming our Community A special welcome to our visitors today! We trust that you feel at home with us as we worship God together. But as David Zajkowski pointed out in Sunday’s sermon (26 Oct), faith is not faith until it is spoken out or acted upon. As a male lion roars over his ‘pride’ we are called to do similar, by decreeing over areas entrusted to us by God. Empowered by the Holy Spirit we decree ‘This is my family! This is my land! Every enemy must flee!’ We have been truly blessed with the presence of God, and the number of angels seen in meetings increasing over the past weeks. We are carriers of His blessing and have been empowered to intentionally and specifically release that which we carry, to bring transformation into situations around us. Join us for our next Friday night prayer meeting 7th November to decree the ‘Release of God’s Presence’ into our families, communities, nation, overseas... There are also many practical ways to help further the Kingdom of God. Take a look at ALC noticeboards in auditorium to prayerfully consider these exciting invitations including ‘Adopta Church’, ‘Passion for Africa’ Wasn’t it wonderful to hear the testimonies of ones healed at Ram Babu healing meeting, and at Kawerau when Shad & Leanne ministered there recently. Thank you to all who served at and supported these events. Steve Stock (12 Oct) encouraged us to ‘grow where we are planted and be blessed to be a blessing’ so impacting our communities within NZ and overseas. God is on the move and it is wonderful to see initiatives like the ‘Hope Project’ expressing God’s redemptive plan for individuals, and His promise of nationwide revival. Thank you to ones who delivered Hope Project booklets to ‘non-circular’ homes. Keep looking for opportunities to ask questions and help ones move forward on their faith journey. Following on from Tim Jensen’s ‘E-Myth Busters’ (19 Oct) is a seminar looking at the 10 most common blockages for people finding faith. This will run at Lifezone Church, Judea at 7pm on Thurs 6th November and is highly recommended for all to attend. This month there are many end of year events: Ladies dessert evening, Te Kupenga lunch, Life Enterprise business group shared dinner, ALC picnic…(see details later in this bulletin) All these are opportunities to invite ones who do not attend our church. On 16th November Alex Larsen will be preaching and officiating at the Bible Survey graduation. Tickets are available through the office. Welcome back to Mike and Janne as they return from ministry in Perth. We look forward to a good report. At this time focused minds are crucial!! Arohanui Lorraine, Mike and Janne Nga mihi mot e marama o Whiringa a Rangi. Greetings for the month of November Another election has concluded, and whatever the result, I again think how blessed I am to live in a nation where people choose the Government. As each election approaches, (I’ve seen a few now), I am aware of the choices I have. I can choose to do nothing, not even vote, (about 30% of eligible voters don’t vote), or I can read and listen to information made available, and make a decision voting accordingly. The next level of involvement would be to join the party, which is closest to my way of thinking, and have as much input into that party’s policy as my enthusiasm and ability will allow. My experience has shown me that each one of our political parties is a democratic body within itself, and though each may have a different political ideology, the broader range of support they can attract from the people, the more effective they will be. They need to find candidates and have policy that will be acceptable to the public, as it is the public who decide their level of influence in the House of Representatives. In my time there have been new parties formed i.e. New Zealand Party, New Zealand First, New Labour, ACT, Conservatives and others, all initiated by those unable to support any of the existing ones, so they have gathered support and formed their own. I suggest this option is open to any of us, if we can get enough support. If we can’t then the party doesn’t have a place. Preacher/teacher Derek Prince said we get the Government we deserve. Others say that in democratic nations the Government is a reflection of society. I frequently hear it suggested, even once from a Radio Rhema announcer, that our politicians are a bunch of liars. If so, what does that say about us, the general public, who chose them. I keep hoping and praying for more Godly Government, but perhaps this will only happen when the majority of people demand it, so I pray for that shift across our population. I believe that this can and will happen. Our nation was established on Christian principles. The British Colonial Secretary’s instructions to Lieutenant Hobson, (later Governor Hobson), which led to our founding document, the Treaty of Waitangi, were to establish a “Nation of Christendom” in New Zealand, where non-Christian conduct would not be tolerated. Dedicated British, Maori and other Missionaries promoted that idea across the land. Maybe at this time of the 200th anniversary of the first preaching of the Gospel in Aotearoa/New Zealand, it would be a good time for that to be re-vitalised. Blessings, Robert Watson. 2nd Nov Sunday – Mega Life 2pm 3rd Nov Monday – Trustees 5:30pmMTeam 7:30pm 6th Nov Thursday – Towards Belief 7pm Life Zone 7th Nov Friday – Prayer Night 7pm 8th Nov Saturday – Ladies EOY Event 7:30pm 9th Nov Sunday – BBQ & Fireworks 6:30pm 10th Nov Monday – Life Group Leaders EOY 13th Nov Thursday – 65+ Club 10am 16th Nov Sunday – Bible Survey Graduation 2pm 16th Nov Sunday – Mega Life 2pm 23rd Nov Sunday – Te Kupenga EOY 1pm 21st Nov Friday – Men’s EOY 6:30pm 28th Nov Friday – Life Enterprise EOY 6:30pm 30th Nov Sunday – Picnic 3:30 pm Papamoa Domain 1st Dec Monday – Trustees MTeam EOY 4th Dec Thursday – 65+ Club 10am 5th Dec Friday – Facilitators EOY MEN’s EOY Friday 21st November 6:30 pm BBQ at Rob’s Place (859 State Highway 29 Tauriko) Have you a heart for WORSHIP?
