Dubai International Airport runway shutdown
Due to refurbishment of the runways at the Dubai International Airport we want to inform you
that several airlines flying in and out of Dubai Airport have been routed to other local airports
and passengers have been advised to strictly adhere to check-in timings, and other
formalities.
A total of 18 airlines have applied for slots at DWC during the 80-day runway
refurbishment programme, including flydubai, PAL Express, Jet Airways, Royal Brunei
Airlines, Yemenia Airlines, Equatorial Congo Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Ural Airlines,
Finnair, HI Hamburg International, Japan Airlines, Rotana Jets and Transaero Airlines.
According to the airlines Emirates, Lufthansa and British Airways flights should continue to
operate out of Dubai International without any limitations. Please be aware that this
limitation, however, could affect every airline.
Please check with your Airline, if there will be a relocation of your flight. In order
to provide a shuttle and assistance at all airports, we kindly ask you to fill in all
flight details (flight number, arrival and departure date, arrival and departure time,
departure airport) until May 8th on the registration website.
Free shuttle services between Dubai International Airport and DWC
Dubai Airports will be providing free shuttle services between Dubai Airport (DXB) and
DWC for the convenience of passengers. The shuttle buses already commenced
operations from April 24. These busses are large fleet ones and are able to transport a
large number of people and their baggages between the airports. This shuttle will be
provide as an express bus service every 30 minutes between the two airports.
