DUTIES, ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR NATIONAL UKHA OFFICERS.
National Chairman
•
Responsible for leading and chairing national committee meetings and general meetings.
•
Responsible for organising meetings and venues with the Deputy National chair, this could also be
delegated to a committee member.
•
Organise agenda items for all meetings.
•
Responsible for developing the Association along with the Deputy National Chair, in order to assist
Housekeeping.
•
Organise major events for the Association, along with National officers. All Officers to take a role with
the organising of each event.
•
Links with other Housekeeping Associations worldwide.
Deputy Chairman
•
Work with the Chairman, assisting where necessary.
•
In the absence of the Chairman at meetings, to take responsibility for the correct running of the
meeting/s.
•
To feedback to the chairman at the earliest possible time in a thorough manner.
•
To take on the role of Secretary
•
Preparing the agenda for national committee or general meetings.
•
Take minutes of the meetings and forward to all committee members.
•
Responsible for organising meetings and venues with the Chairman, this could also be delegated to
a committee member.
•
Handle all official paperwork relating to the Association E.g. Nomination Forms, proposition
submissions and any other.
•
Represent the UKHA at BCC and HSE meetings and feedback where necessary. If required
Treasurer
•
Responsible for managing funds, looking after the Bank Account/s and all expenditure.
•
Arrange yearly auditing of the accounts by external auditor. Each Region to have their own accounts
audited however should be freely open for National Chair to review, including all expenses and their
Accounts to be submitted to Treasurer by (date to be confirmed).
•
Feed back to Chairman and prepare report for AGM and other National Council meetings.
•
Working with Marketing company to ensure website updated and memberships fees are inline (work
in progress and to be regularly reviewed).
•
To ensure sufficient funds from Regions are in place to continue with upkeep of website.
Committee Member – Chairs of each Region
•
Attend all meetings where possible, express views on Association matters, also listen to the views of
others.
•
Discuss and organise forthcoming events.
•
Inform Chairman and other officers of the committee prior to the finalisation of future meetings or
events.
•
Individual tasks for the committee members in order to assist in the planning and co-ordination of
events.
