 Worked for PBCN for seventeen years; currently 11 years as the Human Resource
Manager
 6 years , PBCN Child and Family Services as Finance Clerk.
 Worked for other First Nations’ organizations at the provincial and grass roots
levels.
 6 Years Cameco mining and union Secretary for United Steelworkers.

OUR HISTORY
• Adhesion to Treaty 6 was
signed on February 11, 1889
near Montreal Lake
• In 1900,the Department of
Indian Affairs recognized
Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation
as a separate band.
• Province of Saskatchewan
was formed in 1905. In 1930,
they took over our
resources.
ESTABLISHMENT OF RESERVES
• In 1982 the first urban reserve in
Saskatchewan was created in
Prince Albert. It was a 42 acre
land selection
• In 1993, PBCN ratified the TLE
agreement
• an additional 234,248 acres was
purchased with a 62.4 million
settlement

PBCN
• 12 separate operating companies - 5 of these are
100% PBCN owned, 7 are partnerships
