Day 1 – Arrive Philadelphia
Tour begins: 5:00 PM at the Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia.
Welcome to Philadelphia, your first stop on America’s historic
“road to independence.” A transfer is included from Philadelphia
International Airport to the Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia, set in a
perfect location in the heart of the city on Logan Square. Join us for a

Day 2 – Step back in time on a tour of city sights
Explore the “City of Brotherly Love” on a guided sightseeing tour that
begins at Independence National Historic Park. You’ll learn a lot about
Benjamin Franklin’s Philadelphia on a walk through Independence
Hall, the place where delegates from the original 13 colonies adopted
the Declaration of Independence and where the U.S. Constitution
was adopted. See the 2,000-pound Liberty Bell, in its home at the
Liberty Bell Center, and take a ride aboard a horse-drawn carriage
to the 250-year-old Betsy Ross House. You’ll also visit the National
Constitution Center and see Freedom Rising, a multimedia production
that tells the story of the U.S. Constitution. Spend the remainder of
the day exploring this historic city as you please. Meals B
Day 3 – Amish Country and Civil War Gettysburg
Lancaster County, the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country, is home
to Amish farms powered by horse and plow, without modern-day
conveniences. Follow the extraordinary story of an Amish family
at the state-of-the-art Amish Experience F/X Theater, then visit
a homestead and have a family-style lunch. Travel through
Pennsylvania farmland to Gettysburg for a memorable visit to
Gettysburg National Military Park. Tour the park with a guide who
shares insights about some of the most important conflicts in this
significant 1863 Civil War battle; the 20,000-acre battlefield was also
the site of President Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address. At an
exclusive, private dessert reception tonight, a storyteller in period
garb recounts the experience of a civilian who was caught in town

Cross the infamous Mason-Dixon Line, the historic divider between
north and south, as your journey through American history continues.

the history and accomplishments of these brave American patriots.

Day 5 – A day in the life of Colonial Williamsburg

Experience life on the eve of the American Revolution in Colonial
Williamsburg; go inside the restored Capitol building as well as colonial
houses, shops, and more where you’ll meet historic interpreters in
colonial dress who represent actual citizens from the 18th century –
tradespeople, drilling militiamen, statesmen, merchants, housewives...
You’ll step back in time and learn about what it was like to live
day-to-day in Williamsburg as families go about their chores without
electricity, hot running water, telephones, computers or television! The
entire day is spent as you please – but with a very special ending when

Day 6 – George Washington’s house & the Smithsonian
Travel to historic Mount Vernon today for a guided tour of George
Washington’s beloved plantation overlooking the Potomac River;

from their back porch! Arrive in the nation’s capital for a two-night
stay at L’Enfant Plaza Hotel; your first visits are to museums at the
