How to Write a Paragraph about a Text-to-Text Connection
Review how to write a text-to-self connection.
STEP ONE
(Topic Sentence)
Begin with a topic sentence which:
1.
identifies the title, author and genre (TAG) of the two texts you are connecting
AND
2. identify the kind of connection you made.
STEP TWO
(Main body)
Define a text-to-text connection.
STEP THREE
(Main body)
Describe what it was about the texts that related to each other. Explain how they connect. Are they
both about the same event? Are the characters similar? Is the theme the same in both and what is it?
Explain in detail!!
STEP FIVE
(Conclusion)
Explain how making this connection helped you understand the text(s) better.
