Behaviour Policy
Principles:
• Praise must significantly outweigh criticism and sanction.
• Rules should be short, limited in number and be clearly
understandable.
• Sanctions for bad behaviour, which gradually progress from
a verbal reprimand to exclusion, must be applied without
exception or favour. Consistency is essential.
• A reward system for good behaviour is central to the
procedure and should be given a very high profile in school.
• Children, parents, non teaching staff and teachers must all
be regarded as partners in the application of this
procedure. They should all share a good understanding of
how it operates and be part of its application.
You can access the full policy through the school website.
School Rules
• At Westminster CE Primary School the rules we
will use within this procedure are as follows:
• Allow others to work without disturbance or
interruption.
• Raise your hand and wait patiently when you
a t the tea her s atte tio .
• ‘espe t other people s property a d ork.
• Call everyone by their proper name.
• Do nothing to upset or hurt anyone else.
• Always do your best.
Anti-bullying Policy
Statement of Intent
• At Westminster Primary School we are committed to providing a
warm, caring and safe environment for all our children so that they
can learn and play in a relaxed and secure environment. Bullying of
any kind is unacceptable and will not be tolerated in our school. We
take all incidents of bullying seriously. Bullying hurts. No-one
deserves to be a victim of bullying. Everybody has the right to be
treated with respect and pupils who are bullying others need to
learn different ways of behaving. At Westminster Primary School,
we acknowledge that bullying does happen from time to time –
indeed, it would unrealistic to claim that it does not. When bullying
does occur, everyone should be able to tell and know that incidents
will be dealt with promptly and effectively in accordance with our
anti-bullying policy. We are a TELLING school. This means that
anyone who knows that bullying is happening is expected to tell the
staff.
You can access the full policy through the school website.

A Brighter Future
Corinthians chapter 13 verses 4-7
Lo e is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it
does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is
not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no
record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but
rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always
trusts, always hopes, al ays perse eres.
In Westminster CE Primary School this translates
into an ethos of care and concern which embraces
all members of the school community.
