A Special Visit from Pets for Health
Last month, Chewy came to visit us from local organization
Pets for Health. Through animal-assisted activity (AAA),
Chewy is one of the many therapy animals that helps to
provide opportunities for motivational, educational,
recreational, and/or therapeutic benefits to enhance quality
of life. Residents and staff alike thoroughly enjoyed spending
the day with Chewy! Thank you, Pets for Health, for
introducing us to our new four-legged friend!

Staying Active at Pelican Pointe
Helping residents remain active in their hobbies and interests is
extremely important to Pelican Pointe. Those activities help stir
memories, foster emotional connections with others, and
encourage self-expression. From practicing handwriting and fine
motor skills, to relaxing watercolor painting, to writing letters to
loved ones, to crafting a birthday card for a fellow resident –
participating in a variety of activities aid in keeping minds
working and spirits lifted.
