President Paino Wants to Have Lunch With You
Are you curious where Truman is headed in the next few years? Do you have a burning Truman question you’ve always wanted an answer to? Would you just like to
learn more about our University president?
You should join Dr. Troy Paino for lunch on Friday, April 1, in the Missouri Hall Chariton Room. He will be dining in the Chariton Room from 12:00 to 1:00. All you need
to do is swipe into the cafeteria and bring your meal on in the Chariton Room.
Dr. Paino is the sixteenth president of Truman State University. Prior to his tenure as
president, he served as Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs under presidents Dixon and Krueger. Before coming to Truman, Paino was Dean of the College
of Liberal Arts at Winona State University in Minnesota. He earned a Juris Doctorate
from Indiana University School of Law. He also has a Doctorate in American Studies
from Michigan State University. He lives here in Kirksville with his wife Kelly and their
daughters Sophia and Chloe.
Join President Paino for lunch on April 1 to
see what he is cooking up for Truman!
Tunnel of Oppression Open Thurs., Fri., Mon., Tue.
The Tunnel of Oppression is a multi-sensory event that allows participants to more
fully engage themselves in the experience of several forms of oppression. Last year
was the second year of presenting the Tunnel of Oppression at Truman and with
nearly 450 individuals in attendance. This year’s tunnel will include rooms that focus
on seven different areas of oppression which have been present in both past and current American culture. The Tunnel will be open this Thursday, Friday, Monday, and
Tuesday, 7:00-9:00 in the BNB Basement.
