GOTRIANGLE, a public transportation organization serving the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel
Hill region of North Carolina, has several interesting and challenging engineering
positions. We are recruiting for Civil Engineers who have an interest in working on the
first light rail project in this region.
Our positions range from an entry level Engineer classification to an experienced
Project Engineer. We want the best talent we can recruit based on the following job
descriptions:
TRANSPORTATION STAFF ENGINEER: A Civil Engineer who performs engineering tasks
and assists in the development of analyses, plans, and specifications leading to the
design and construction of the GoTriangle Durham-Orange Light Rail Transit (D-O LRT)
Project as well as other projects. The Transportation Staff Engineer reviews
consultant deliverables and provides feedback on technical issues. The successful
candidate will be a key staff member with direct oversight of the technical progress
made by the consultant(s). Salary is $51,870-$97,025.
PROJECT ENGINEER: The Project Engineer acts as the primary technical point of
contact for planning and project development activities required to implement the DO LRT Project as well as other projects. The successful candidate directs and
coordinates the planning, design and engineering services in support of GoTriangle’s
transportation related systems, facilities, and equipment with heavy emphasis on the
D-O LRT Project. This position requires at least five (5) years of progressively
responsible experience in projects performed in a transit system environment.
Knowledge of Federal Transit Administration (FTA) guidelines, procedures, and
regulations is beneficial. Salary is $57,199-$101,848.
