I am sure that you enjoyed the confident sensitive performances from all the girls. I would like to thank the parents for their generosity. Our retiring collections for all the Christmas performances came to an amazingly generous total of £1325. This money has already been sent to the London and Slough Run and will make a real difference to the way in which this local and much needed charity can operate. We were also able to raise another £365 for the Text Santa appeal from the wearing of Christmas Jumpers yesterday. This follows the extremely successful Christmas Fair organised by the FOMG. Mrs Balding and all the FOMG surpassed themselves, raising £7145.00 for the FOMG alongside the charitable fundraising for Children in Need of £1580.60. Thank you to everyone who gave of their time and energy. We all had a great day. So far this term we have focused on Perseverance and Collaboration and next term we will focus on Empathy and Independence before we complete the set of six Mindsets with Respect and Reflection in the summer term. The response to the poster competitions has been outstanding. The girls have embraced the Mindsets and these are now embedded in our curriculum, giving us a basis for developing the approaches to learning which are so crucial to each girls’ success. On another note I would like to say how delighted I am that the DropOff Initiative has been so successful. I genuinely look forward to Tuesdays when I am on duty. It is our intention to continue with the stickers for the time being, however, we will be looking next term to find constructive ways to reward the girls who for whatever reason are unable to take advantage of this incentive. I am sure that the girls are ready for a break, not least because they give so much of themselves during term time. I wish you all a relaxing and peaceful festive season and look forward to seeing the girls back in School in January for another stimulating and exciting term.
