Tastings
Reel Time Events is proud to promote its entertaining and informative whisky tastings. As an established Scottish events
company, we have worked with leading hotel chains, conference organisers and destination management companies
throughout the country. We have gained extensive experience in creating tailor made whisky tasting events which continually
exceeded our corporate guests’ expectations.
Our whisky tastings are held in a relaxed and friendly environment. We take our clients through short whisky connoisseur
sessions, helping them to differentiate between the particular smells and tastes distinctive to Scotch malt whisky. We want
our clients to feel that they have been educated about whisky, rather than lectured to.
A typical tasting
We Provide
Our fun yet informative tastings typically
incorporate 3 or 4 whiskies. We firstly
take our guests through the whisky
manufacturing process. This is done with
the help of our wide selection of whisky
props, which help to clarify and animate
all the information. We always offer a
variety in our tastings that is a fitting
representation of the incredible diversity
in Scotch whisky. We describe the differences in colour, smell and taste and take
the guests on a sensory voyage through
the medium of our national drink.
We supply all malt tasting glasses, all the
whisky, whisky props, maps and magazines, (to theme the venue), as well as
master tasters to talk guests through the
intricacies of each malt.
Format
Either as a presentation (up to 30
guests) or stalls (usually 1 stall and 1
taster per 30-40 guests) for truly
interactive experiences. Usually tasting
last 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on
format and number of guests.
Our Approach
We are here to entertain and inform. We
will not tell your guests All the facts
(Just the interesting ones!) nor will we
lecture them on what they must smell or
taste, everyone has their own senses.
We are here to share with you a passion
and enthusiasm for our national drink,
Scotch Malt Whisky.
Additional information
Our entertaining and inspiring tutored
whisky tastings can be arranged at any
location in the UK for groups of anything
between 2 and 2000 guests. “Team
Tasting Events” are also an option, which
can help add both fun and competition to
any incentive event. Your nose knows or
guess the region, are popular options.
If the client wishes, we are licensed to sell
“take home” bottles from the whiskies
tasted. We can also retail our specialist
whisky glasses and whisky miniatures.
