The UCA will receive the European Conference about
Educational Investigation in September of 2012. 04/26/2010

This event will take in approximately 2000 delegates of 40 different European countries.
The vice-rector of Technological Information and Innovation education, Eduardo Blanco has presented today the
European Conference related to Educational Investigation which the University of Cadiz will organize in 2012.
Blanco was accompanied by Gregorio Rodriguez President of the Organization of the Local Committee of ECER
2012, Carmen Jimenez, who is President of the Inter-Collegiate Association of pedagogic Investigation, Professor
of the UNED and the Vice-president of the Spanish Society of pedagogy, Gonzalo Jover.
The vice-rector explained that this event will count with the support of the Government Staff of the University and the
Dean, highlighting its celebration during a year that is of great significance 2012 as well as, its trait as “an
investigative and educational celebration”. The UCA from the educative and formation process as well as, the
Investigation Group” work in the innovative education to obtain the best result in the learning of our students.
The EERA ( European Association of Educational Investigation) was founded in 1994 and is constituted of a total of
23 national associations as well as European Regional Associations. The Association academic work is
organized in 25 different thematic networks. In the case of Spain, the associations represented in this organization
are AIDIPE (Intercollegiate Association of Pedagogic Investigation) and SEP (Spanish Society of Pedagogy). In
2009 the annual celebration of this expanded organization took place in Vienna. This year the annual celebration
will be celebrated in Berlin and next year it will be organized in Helsinki.
The conference brings together 2000 delegates from different European countries, which main goal consists in
promoting the European Educational Investigation and boost the cooperation between the different associations of
educational investigation.
In the month of September 2012 will take place the conference. It has been decided from the 17th until 21st,
placing Cadiz between the principle capitals that are headquarters of this association. “It fills us with great joy and
pride” highlighted Blanco.
The subject matter which commented professor Jimenez, is learned against the Executive Committee of AEERA,
but it is succinct statement must englobe the different investigations of the network, like the social environment of
education, its sustainability, efficiently, distinction, and educative philosophy or special education. Contributions
which indicate “the actual state of investigation and the possibility of the creation of a now investigative force
procedure by the young people” complemented the vice-president of SEP.
Professor Rodriguez emphasized that it is a great challenge for the Academic Institution in assuming the
organization of this relevant congress, its local committee is composed by representatives of the different
departments of the UCA. “We will work with fervent hope from the integral and collegiate educational stand point”.
The local committee has highlighted that the Gaditan Hotels from Cadiz are already reserved for the congress,
some are from the Bahia region since the lodging offers from the capital province comes very short to the demand
offered during the celebration of this International celebration. The UCA has also disposed of different areas

focused on developing their activities such as: Faculty of Philosophy and Letter Sciences, Faculty of Medicine,
Faculty of Economical Sciences, Faculty of Labour studies.
