Please remember this Wednesday is conferences if one was requested.
Please be prompt because times are tight. Morning Kindergarten students
attend a normal day, extended day kindergarten students will be served
lunch and dismissed 11:55 a.m.
It is hard to believe that spring break is finally here. I hope everyone has a
very relaxing and safe break. Have a great Easter Holiday and find lots of
eggs! Enjoy the time off from school, but don’t take time off from reading. I

n’t wait to hear all the exciting things students did over spring break!

Reading
This week we will read the story, “Mayday! Mayday!”
by Chris L. Demarest. We will learn about cause and
effect. In a story, things often happen because of
something else. Knowing what happens and why it
happened is called the cause and effect. The cause
is what makes something happen and the effect is
what happens.
This week’s letter is the letter X x. We will learn the
sound it makes and how to write it.
During writing we will learn about question marks
and uppercase letters.
